1Â Then the assembly rose as a body and brought Jesus before Pilate.
2Â They began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man perverting our nation, forbidding us to pay taxes to the emperor, and saying that he himself is the Messiah, a king.”
1Â Six days before the Passover Jesus came to Bethany, the home of Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.
2Â There they gave a dinner for him. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those at the table with him.
even though I, too, have reason for confidence in the flesh. If anyone else has reason to be confident in the flesh, I have more:

Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters,
17Â who brings out chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick:
1Â Happy are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2Â Happy are those to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
