Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Then Job answered: “Today also my complaint is bitter; his hand is heavy despite my groaning.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”
Some Pharisees came, and to test him they asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”
Long ago God spoke to our ancestors in many and various ways by the prophets,
but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom he also created the worlds.
